The Reference Department is the primary information center for the Thomas Cooper Library. It is located on the main level across from the circulation desk. The librarians at this service desk specialize in humanities and social sciences reference and assist with science reference resources.
The staff of the Reference Department includes ten full-time reference librarians, part-time reference librarians, two full-time technical assistants, graduate assistants and undergraduate shelvers. Librarians from other departments also assist with reference desk duties.
