Blackboard Features

Blackboard is an easy to use program that has excellent built-in tools for communication and for putting course content on the Web.

Included are Web-based course management and delivery of:

1. course announcements
2. course information
3. staff information
4. course documents
5. assignments
6. communications tools including email, discussion forums with threaded discussions, virtual chatting, personal web pages for students, online class roster
7. links to external web resources for students
8. instructor control panel for entering and editing course content, creating quizzes and surveys, on-line gradebook
9. student tools including a digital drop box, assignment and test grade checking, and documentation for Blackboard
10. assessment tools including quizzes, surveys, and course statistics
11. a calendar of institutional and course events
