This summer, the Center for Digital Humanities and the Dept. of Geography is again organizing a workshop on methods and applications of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Led by Kevin Remington, USC Campus GIS Coordinator, and Geoff Schwitzgebel, Geography Department GIS Manager, the workshop will feature presentations and training sessions by a variety of local GIS experts, and will introduce participants to the wide-ranging applications of geospatial technology - including data capture and management, cartography and visualization techniques, spatial data analysis, and emerging web-based GIS resources, applications, and techniques. Attendees will be able to personalize their experience at the workshop by selecting from multiple training/presentation tracts, and industry and academic experts will be available in several open workshops to assist with GIS-related needs/applications specific to the attendee’s area of interest. Sign up for the 2015 USC GIS Institute and find out how GIS can make an impact on your work!
