As the Fitness Director for Campus Recreation, Michael Lagomarsine oversees the fitness equipment at both the Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center and Blatt P.E. Center. Additionally, Michael supervises the personal training services and manages the weight room attendant student staff. Michael started January 2017 after spending his previous six years as the Director of Fitness at Boston University.
Michael comes to us with previous experience as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach, Personal Trainer, and Group Exercise Instructor. During his career, Michael has created and facilitated sports performance programming, training and testing for MLB, NFL, NHL, Olympic-level and collegiate athletes.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University in New York, and a Master of Science in Exercise Science and Athletics from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.
Michael’s favorite part of working at USC and in Student Life is being able to take advantage of all the recreation sports available in the buildings he works at.
