Group exercise classes are available at the Strom Thurmond Center and Blatt Center to members with group exercise passes. Get details about class types, schedules, purchasing passes and guidelines for participating.

Group Exercise Passes

Group passes and signed waivers are required for members who wish to attend group exercise classes. Passes cost $20 per semester ($10 in the summer) and can be purchased online or at the Blatt or Strom business offices with cash, check, or CarolinaCash, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Who can take group exercise classes?

You will be asked by an instructor to type in your VIP number at the beginning of each class to verify that you have purchased your group exercise pass.

Members of the Blatt Center
Guests and dependents under the age of 16 cannot take classes.

Members of the Strom Thurmond Center
Guests cannot take classes.

 

Group Class Guidelines

  • Classes are First-Come, First-Served
  • Arriving Late – No one will be allowed to enter a class more than five minutes after the start time due to safety concerns.
  • Class Times are Subject to Change – All schedules are subject to change. Classes may be cancelled temporarily and permanently based on low attendance or other reasons.
  • What to Bring to Class
    • You must present your group exercise pass.
    • Bring water and a towel to each class.
    • Participants must wear athletic footwear, with the exception of those in yoga, Pilates, or barre classes.
  • Personal Belongings – Place your belongings in daily lockers. Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Cell Phones and Electronics – Using your iPod, cell phone or other personal electronics is prohibited during class.
