Capstone Scholars

Past Service Trips

Service doesn't have to just be on-campus! Throughout the years, Capstone has provided countless opportunities for students to serve in broader Columbia, the state of South Carolina, and even to other locations in the southeast.

  • charleston day of service

    Charleston Day of Service

Capstone Scholars helped build a greenhouse for Fields to Families, a nonprofit that grows crops to fight hunger in the Charleston community. We also served Lowcountry Furniture Bank, a local church, and picked up trash at Folly Beach!

  • edventure halloween

    EdVenture Children's Museum

Students dressed up for Halloween, passed out candy, and ran spooky activities for kids in the Columbia community.

  • pawmetto lifeline grid

    Pawmetto Lifeline

We visited Pawmetto Lifeline, a no-kill animal shelter in Columbia. There’s nothing better than loving on puppies and kittens for a few hours!

  • savannah day of service grid

    Savannah Day of Service

Students spent the day in Savannah, Georgia, preparing over 1,500 emergency food boxes at America’s Second Harvest Food Bank! Another group spent time playing games, painting nails, and chatting with residents at a local nursing home.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
