Career Center

Classroom Presentations

When faculty and staff partner with the Career Center, together we can make a powerful difference in the long-term, professional success of our students.

We'll Come to You

Our team welcomes every opportunity to partner with faculty and staff  members to schedule presentations for your class. We can be completely flexible, taking 10 minutes to provide an overview of Career Center services or we can use a full class period to present on the topic of your choice.

... Or Bring Your Class to Us

With advanced notice, we can also arrange for you to bring your students to the Career Center where we can conduct our presentation, allow students to tour the career library and conduct career research.

Presentation Topics

Sample topics include, but are not limited to:

  • How to Choose a Major
  • Resume/Letter Writing
  • How to Find a Summer Job or Internship
  • Interviewing Skills
  • How to Make the Most of a Career Fair
  • Dress for Success
  • What Employers are Really Looking For
  • Networking
  • Work Values
  • Job Search Strategies (Internet included)
  • Market Trends/Job Outlook
  • Employer Research

We can also administer assessments such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Strong Interest Inventory (SII). Or, if you have a particular topic in mind that is not listed above, we will make every attempt to accommodate your request.
