In this adventure, you'll study the anatomy and physiology of the brain, ear, and vocal tract and learn how to treat patients, complete progress evaluations and implement treatment plans.Learn computer code to generate sound to design your best speech. You'll even analyze your own voice and decode messages through spectrograms. You’ll investigate different speech sounds and use head and torso simulators to test the loudness of music.
Many career opportunities await you. You'll explore the options of working in schools, healthcare settings, rehabilitation centers, research laboratories, or private practice. You will work with University of South Carolina’s expert faculty at the Arnold School of Public Health's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders of Speech-Language Pathology who will introduce you to amazing opportunities and provide you with a fun hands-on experience.
