Description
Are you a graduate student who is exploring the possibility of a faculty career? Would you like the opportunity to talk with and hear advice from some of USC's most distinguished faculty members? Join us for a panel discussion featuring recent faculty recipients of the Mungo Award for Outstanding Teaching—the highest teaching honor awarded by the university.
In this informal, interactive session, panelists will discuss the role that teaching has played in their careers, what they wish they'd known when they started their first faculty position and practical tips for beginning an academic career. The session will conclude with a question-and-answer period and networking reception.
Panelists will include:
- Sanjay Ahire – Moore School of Business, Management Science, Mungo Undergraduate Teaching Award, 2015
- Amy Mills – Geography, Mungo Undergraduate Teaching Award, 2013
- Christy Friend – English, Mungo Graduate Teaching Award, 2004
