Commuter/Upperclassman Plans

Students who live off campus, are international or graduate students, or living in the Greek Village or university apartment communities have several meal plan options.

These meal plan options are for commuter, upperclassman and Greek Village students only.

Declining Balance Plans

Provide the most flexibility when dining on campus. These plans come with guest meals that can be used at any of our 3 dining halls (Bates House, Gibbes Court and Honeycomb Café). Each guest meal can be redeemed for one meal. Choose either one breakfast, lunch or dinner at any of the 3 all-you-care-to-eat dining halls. All purchases with declining balance plans are tax free.

  • The Declining Balance Platinum meal plan comes with tax-free meal plan dollars (MPD) to be used at all campus dining locations. This plan also comes with 15 guest meals to be used at Gibbes Court, Bates Diner and Honeycomb Cafe. MPD expire at the end of the semester.
  • The Declining Balance Gold meal plan comes with tax-free MPD to be used at all campus dining locations. This plan also comes with 10 guest meals to be used at Gibbes Court, Bates Diner and Honeycomb Cafe. MPD expire at the end of the semester.
  • The Declining Balance Silver meal plan comes with tax-free MPD to be used at all campus dining locations. This plan also comes with 5 guest meals to be used at Gibbes Court, Bates Diner and Honeycomb Cafe. MPD expire at the end of the semester.
  • The Declining Balance Greek meal plan comes with tax-free MPD to be used at all campus dining locations. MPD expire at the end of the semester. This plan is only available to students who are part of a university fraternity or sorority.

Spur 5 Plan

Provides 5 meals to be used throughout the week at any of our dining locations. This plan is great for a commuting student who needs a few meals during the week or for a Greek Village student living in off-campus apartments who needs no-hassle meals on the weekend. The Spur 5 also comes with $100 MPD to be used at all campus dining locations. MPD expire at the end of the semester.

Preston 4 Plan

The Preston 4 meal plan, only available to upperclassmen who reside at Preston College, is the minimum required meal plan for any upperclassman who resides at Preston College. Provides 5 meals to be used throughout the week at any of our dining locations. The Preston 4 meal plan does not include MPD.
