The South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs (SCDCA) in conjunction with the South Carolina Bar, the University of South Carolina School of Law and the Federal Trade Commission is offering a free Identity Theft seminar for consumers. The presentation will cover:
• Preventing identity theft;
• Security freezes and fraud alerts;
• Reading a credit report and disputing credit report errors.
Consumers can attend this free seminar at the SC Bar Conference Center (1501 Park Street, Columbia, SC) on Wednesday, March 6 from 12-12:45 p.m. After the presentation, attendees will have the option of a free consultation with an attorney to discuss their Identity Theft issue.
