The Education Advisory Board (EAB), of which USC is a member institution, will be conducting an hour-long web conference entitled Developing a Data-Driven University on Thursday, March 27, from 1:00 – 2:00pm ET. The seminar description follows at the bottom.
The conference will be broadcast in UTS 301B-C. Seating is limited, but if you would like to join the group at the UTS location, please email Mike Kelly at email@example.com to reserve a seat.
If this location is not convenient, those interested in participating elsewhere are welcome to first register a personal account with EAB, and then register for the event as an individual (or for yourself and a group of colleagues). The instructions to obtain a username and password on eab.com are as follows:
- Go to the website, at www.eab.com.
- On the top left of the homepage, hover over the "Member Login" bar. Select "New User."
- Clicking the link takes you to the registration page through which you will be prompted to provide your location, institution name, and your personal information. You will also create a unique password.
- Click "submit" and you'll receive an email in your university inbox containing a confirmation code and a link to login to the website. Please check your spam folder if the email containing the link does not arrive in your inbox after several minutes.
EAB's web conference description:
It can be very difficult to make progress on long-standing goals to redesign university processes. Absent credible data on the problems requiring solutions and metrics to track progress, few universities think they can make persuasive cases for change. For this reason, a growing number of institutions are investing in data and analytics as critical change-management tools. Please join us as we explore how data—both in and outside EAB's Student Success Collaborative (SSC) platform—can make a university's advising process more effective. (Note: presenter has indicated this session will also be of value to non-adviser audiences.)
