Research Cyberinfrastructure announces upcoming workshops

OpenACC GPU programming remote workshop August 13 - 14

Research Cyberinfrastructure is proud to announce they will be hosting monthly XSEDE remote workshops, starting with a two-day OpenACC GPU programming workshop on August 13th through 14th. This hands-on workshop will be presented by the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and the National Institute for Computational Sciences. The workshop platform will be on Georgia Tech's Keeneland cluster, the NSF's premier GPU resource. The agenda is below and it is designed as two short days to be time-zone friendly. OpenACC is the accepted standard using compiler directives to allow quick development of GPU capable codes using standard languages and compilers. It has been used with great success to accelerate real applications within very short development periods. This workshop assumes knowledge of either C or Fortran programming. It will have a hands-on component using the NSF large scale GPU computing platform presently being deployed at the National Institute for Computational Sciences.

The videoconference will be held in the UTS 3rd floor auditorium at 1244 Blossom St. Registration for the event is on XSEDE's website (see below) and requires a free XSEDE account for sign-up. This space is not a lab, so please bring a laptop if you wish to participate in the hands-on exercises.
