Git is the popular version control system that developers use to track and share code. This workshop will take you from a beginner to being highly proficient using Git and GitHub. You will learn how to collaborate on projects effectively with GitHub, build a solid foundation in Git, and master advanced version control skills. This workshop will be held at the RCI offices at 1301 Gervais St. Suite 750 from 11am - 12pm

12/3/2015, OpenACC Workshop

RCI will be hosting an XSEDE remote OpenACC workshop on Thursday, December 3 from 11am – 5pm . This one day XSEDE event is presented by the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. OpenACC is the accepted standard using compiler directives to allow quick development of GPU capable codes using standard languages and compilers. It has been used with great success to accelerate real applications within very short development periods. This workshop assumes knowledge of either C or Fortran programming. It will have a hands-on component using the Blue Waters which is deployed at NCSA.

The videoconference will be held in the 3rd floor auditorium, Room 320, at 1244 Blossom St. Registration for the event is on XSEDE’s website and requires a free XSEDE account  for sign-up. This space is not a lab, so please bring a laptop if you wish to participate in the hands-on exercises. Parking is available at street meters or for $3/day in the Horizon Garage.
