The University of South Carolina is committed to meeting the needs of students in
every walk of life. The Office of Evening and Non Degree Programs serves students
who are outside of a formal degree program, whether temporarily or long term.
Nondegree students include:
Students taking one or more classes for personal enrichment
Students taking one or more classes in order to gain admission into a graduate or
professional degree program
Transient or visiting students from other colleges and universities
University faculty and staff taking one or more classes for personal enrichment via
Senior citizens taking one or more classes for personal enrichment via tuition waiver
The Evening and Non Degree Programs office coordinates the scheduling of a wide array
of undergraduate courses in the evening and on weekends. In addition to full-semester
classes, we also offer accelerated, half-semester courses to allow for faster progression
toward your degree goals. You will receive full academic credit while learning from
