Hobcaw Barony Waterfront Cultural Continuum Project - Results from the Field
Working in partnership with Dr. Karen Y. Smith, Director of the Applied Research Division (ARD), the Maritime Research Division (MRD), at SCIAA embarked on an underwater archaeological prospecting venture along the Winyah Bay waterfront of Hobcaw Barony near Georgetown.
SmartState Endowed Chair: Dr. Igor Roninson
A prolific researcher and innovator, Dr. Roninson holds 41 U.S. patents, was awarded an $11.3 million National Institutes of Health grant (one of the largest in the university’s history) in 2011, and has authored more than 160 articles. Winner of the American Association for Cancer Research Award for Meritorious Achievement in Cancer Research, Dr. Roninson is also a recipient of the Life Extension Prize from the Regenerative Medicine Secretariat.
