International Student Achievement Award

The International Student Achievement Award (ISAA) is awarded each semester to one international student at any degree level who has demonstrated excellence in academic achievement and shown a commitment to campus and/or community engagement.

Nominations

Nominations for this Fall 2017 are due by November 8, 2017. Submissions are received using the online nomination form

Guidelines

  • Faculty, staff, and fellow students can nominate an outstanding graduating international student. A member of the community can nominate individuals, as well. Students cannot nominate themselves.
  • The student must be a graduating F-1 or J-1 international student during the semester of nomination. (*Please note: Students graduating in May or August are eligible for the Spring award and students graduating in December are eligible for the Fall award.)
  • Nominees will be evaluated by a committee of staff and faculty based on excellence in academic achievement and commitment to campus and/or community engagement. Thoroughness on the nomination form is appreciated.

Receiving the Award

The recipient will be recognized at either the Graduation Reception in April or the Holiday Banquet in December.  He or she will be awarded a certificate, a small gift from the ISS office, and announced on the international student newsletter. His or her name will also be included on the International Student Acheivement Award plaque that is on display in the ISS office.
