Background

Mark S. Brown, JD, associate director of Pre-Professional Advising at USC, has worked at USC since 2008 and with OPPA since 2016. He works primarily as the pre-law advisor, aiding students as they begin the process of applying for law school and preparing to take the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).  Mark also teaches courses in Criminology and Criminal Justice each semester, typically dealing with Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure.

Mark earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and also has a Master’s of Arts in American Politics from The George Washington University.  Prior to working in education he was a practicing criminal defense attorney in Madison, Wisconsin.  He enjoys golfing and going on long bike rides with his wife.
