Research Engagement Collaborative proposals due September 15, 2014 and Visiting Scholar grant applications due September 17, 2014 to the Office of the Provost.
Research Engagement Collaboratives
Research Engagement Collaboratives (RECs) are academic focal points for teaching,
research, creative activity and service that address important, difficult and complex
problems facing society. Proposals are due September 15, 2014, and principal investigators
must be tenured faculty members in a unit on the USC Columbia campus. However, any
USC faculty member with a current appointment (tenured, tenure-track, research, clinical)
may serve as an REC co-investigator or collaborator.
Learn more about RECs. View the REC frequently asked questions (new FAQs were added on Aug. 29, 2014 and Sept. 12, 2014).
Visiting Scholars Grant Program
The Visiting Scholars Grant Program (VSGP) supports short visits to the USC Columbia campus by distinguished scholars for the dual purpose of enriching and advancing the scholarly and creative endeavors of faculty and students. Visiting scholars supported under this program should enrich teaching, research, and creative activities on campus by providing lectures, workshops, seminars, performances, and mentoring of USC students and faculty. Grant proposals are due on September 17, 2014. More about the Visiting Scholars Grant Program.
