The Rule of Law Collaborative at the University of South Carolina is widely recognized as one of the nation’s leading centers for the study of rule of law and the training of public- and private-sector rule of law personnel.

About ROLC

Founded in 2010, the Rule of Law Collaborative (ROLC) at the University of South Carolina is committed to the development of rule of law as a discipline, the advancement of theoretical applications in the field, and the refinement of policies relating to rule of law development.

Events

The Rule of Law Collaborative is committed to engaging a broad community of scholars and practitioners who work on rule of law issues. To that end, the Collaborative hosts a wide variety of events on rule of law every year, drawing on its network of faculty associates, as well as rule of law scholars and practitioners beyond the University of South Carolina.

Experts

The Rule of Law Collaborative brings together over 60 faculty associates from the University of South Carolina along with experts from other universities and institutions who provide the highest quality research, analysis, and public policy recommendations on rule of law issues.

The Rule of Law Collaborative plays an innovative and leading role in the development of the rapidly evolving field of rule of law studies.

Activities

Drawing on the expertise of faculty across a range of disciplines, the Rule of Law Collaborative provides a wide variety of resources for students and practitioners interested in deepening their knowledge of rule of law.

JusTRAC

The Justice Sector Training, Research, and Coordination Program (JusTRAC) is a key resource for rule of law practitioners engaged in justice sector programming. Establish in 2014, JusTRAC is a cooperative program of the Rule of Law Collaborative, University of South Carolina, and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, U.S. Department of State.
