Hiring Procedures

General Hiring Process

The Division of Human Resources provides an HR Toolbox that includes checklists and a variety of required forms for human resource contacts in academic and administrative units to use in preparing hiring documents for different categories of employment. Required documentation for faculty hires includes the approved FTE request, copy of position advertisement, copy of offer letter with acceptance, candidate’s CV and three letters of recommendation, Academic Personal Information form, and the EEO Summary of Recruiting Process.

Please contact the Office of the Provost if you have any questions about required or recommended language in the offer letter. Note that any hire with tenure or at the rank of professor for any track requires additional approval prior to a written offer.
