The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to announce the application period for the 2016-2017 SPARC graduate research grant program. We will accept SPARC grant applications through Wednesday, October 26, at 5:00 p.m.

All graduate students who apply for a SPARC grant must attend an application workshop prior to submitting their proposals. The workshop schedule and registration form are included below. The Office of Research encourages students to register ahead for the session of their choice to assure a streamlined sign-in experience, but registration is not required to attend any session. Students who register for a SPARC workshop session, but are later unable to attend, are not required to provide notice that they will not be attending the session as planned.

In addition to the SPARC workshops, graduate students applying for SPARC may be interested in attending the optional Grant Writing Basics Workshop offered by the Office of the Vice President for Research on Thursday, September 29. (The Grant Writing Basics Workshop is not required to apply for a SPARC Grant.)

Registration for SPARC 2016 workshops is now closed. Walk-ins are welcome at the final session on Monday, October 10, at 3:00 p.m. The last day to request workshop alternatives is Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Contact Dr. Lauren Clark for alternatives by October 18.
