Do I have to use the Coalition Application to apply to the University of South Carolina?
No. That is one option. Students interested in applying to any of the Coalition schools may find this tool assists with applying to each member institution. We do not have a preference, so you are welcome to use our native application available at our website. You do not need to submit an application to USC via both sites.
Will the Coalition Application cost me any additional money?
The research tools to learn more about Coalition member schools are free. You will not be charged to set up a profile or to store your documents. However, you can expect to pay application fees to each institution to which you apply. If you qualify for an ACT or SAT application fee waiver, you may use it when applying to USC or simply pay the required application fee: $65 for domestic freshmen or $100 for international freshmen.
Will this change any of the application deadlines?
No. The Coalition Application is one option. All other application deadlines will apply regardless of which application is used. Our application deadlines can be found here.
If I am a transfer student, do I need to use the Coalition application?
No. Transfer students, non degree, readmits and change of campus students should apply via our native application.
I am interested in applying to the Honors College. Can I apply via the Coalition Application?
Yes! Students who apply for admission to USC via the Coalition Application can be considered for admission to the South Carolina Honors College.
