In order to provide a more secure email environment and improve operational efficiency, University Technology Services (UTS) will change the way email aliases operate later this month.
The alias email domain of @sc.edu will be migrated to the University Exchange email system. A small number of employees will be required to take steps to continue using their alias email address. If you are one of those individuals, you will receive an email with instructions detailing the requirements. Otherwise, no action is needed.
These changes will not only improve the efficiency of our university email system, it is also the first step of a larger plan to offer university employees additional resources and services through Microsoft Office 365. Additional information regarding this rollout will be sent in the future.
