Many individuals across the university system received a phishing message that appears to come from firstname.lastname@example.org. The messages are not from the university. Employees are urged to delete these emails and always use caution with suspicious emails from unknown sources. The malicious site has been blocked from on campus. However, users may have accessed the site from off campus and unknowingly presented their credentials.
If you did click the link and entered your Network Username and password, your account has been compromised. Please contact the Service Desk at 803-777-1800 immediately to report the incident so that our IT staff may take the necessary actions to mitigate risk to you and the university. Users will be required to change their password immediately. An example of the email can be found below.
