Desktop Computing and Printing - Planned Change

What's Happening The Division of Information Technology will perform maintenance on all computers supported by a Division of Information Technology Desktop Service Agreement. A new procedure will be implemented to remind users to restart their computer when there is a pending operation that requires a restart. A message will appear in the lower portion of the computer screen. Users will have 24 hours to accept the restart. After that time, the user will no longer be able to ignore or snooze the alert and will be required to select a restart time. Reboots will only occur if a user is not logged into the computer.
Who's Affected All computers supported by a Division of Information Technology Desktop Service Agreement.
What's The Impact On Me No impact; All systems should be available. Users will receive restart prompts if there is a restart pending.
