The Division of Information Technology will implement a scheduled restart on SLA computers and non PCI VDIs each Monday at 2:00 AM. Users will be allowed up to one hour to save their work and restart their computer. If no action is taken the computer will automatically restart after the one hour countdown. Please be sure to save any open documents before you leave the office on Friday, as they will not be saved after the restart.

A new procedure will be implemented to remind users to restart their computer when there is a pending operation that requires a restart. A message will appear in the lower portion of the computer screen. Users will have 24 hours to accept the restart. After that time, the user will no longer be able to ignore or snooze the alert and will be required to select a restart time. Reboots will only occur if a user is not logged into the computer.
