Mary Faile is the Foundation Liaison for the Educational Foundation of USC Lancaster, the non-profit organization responsible for soliciting, receiving, and disbursing funds for the advancement of the interests of the University of South Carolina Lancaster.
Prior to working at USC Lancaster, Mary has more than 25 years of accounting experience working most recently as an Accountant for Oceanagold Inc. at Haile Gold Mine in Kershaw, South Carolina. Mary has held accounting positions in private, public and non-profit firms during her career, providing her a comprehensive understanding of financial duties and responsibilities.
Mary also was a successful business owner for 17 years, opening one of the first true one hour photofinishing centers in South Carolina with her husband Dean. Together they managed three retail locations and introduced new products that resulted in being featured in the Photo-Marketing Entrepreneur magazine for innovation.
Mary was a member of Phi Kappa Phi, a National Honor Society and graduated Cum Laude from Winthrop University receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Mary and her husband Dean, have two children; Nicholas, a York Technical College student and Derek, who is a first grader at North Elementary School.
