Chris DeWolf serves as Senior Director of Development for Regional Programs and Palmetto College at the University of South Carolina. Presently in his 9th year with the University, Chris oversees development activity on behalf of the four regional campuses, Extended University and the new online bachelor's degree completion program that make up Palmetto College under Chancellor Susan Elkins. Additionally, he serves in a regional capacity pursuing financial support from individuals, corporations and foundations on behalf of the Carolina's Promise capital campaign in the mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. He also serves as interim Director of Development for the College of Education under Dean Lemuel Watson, and is a key contributor to development efforts related to the new My Carolina Alumni Center.
Chris came to Carolina in March of 2007, initially as Senior Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences. He later transitioned into central development to re-initiate the dormant Regional Program, covering the entire U.S. until the program grew to add two additional senior development officers. His regional responsibilities enable him to serve all colleges, campuses and other constituencies that make up the University of South Carolina.
Chris has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business-Economics from U.C. Santa Barbara and an MBA from Santa Clara University. Following a career in Silicon Valley, Chris has worked in higher Education and development since 1998 with Stanford University, Tulane University, World Wildlife Fund and USC.
