Dr. Sarah Miller receives Dr. Chris Plyler Excellence in Service Award Award

Dr. Sarah Miller, associate professor of history at USC Salkehatchie, is the inaugural recipient of the Dr. Chris Plyler Excellence in Service Award; the Plyler service award is presented to a faculty member who personifies excellence in service to the campus, university, community and profession.

Dr. Kajal Ghoshroy receives John J. Duffy Excellence in Teaching Award

Dr. Kajal Ghoshroy, associate professor of biology at USC Sumter, is the recipient of the Dr. John J. Duffy Excellence in Teaching Award; the Duffy teaching award is presented annually to a faculty member who exemplifies excellence in and out of the classroom.

Fran Castleberry wins outstanding achievement award

This fall, Fran Castleberry received the 2015 H.D. Barnett Sr. Award at the annual USC Sumter Awards Recognition Ceremony.

Burke and Hassel coach inaugural season of USC Lancaster volleyball

Fernanda Burke and Darris Hassel have taken on the reins of USC Lancaster's Lady Lancers volleyball team as coaches for the team's inaugural season.

Eran Kilpatrick receives John J. Duffy Excellence in Teaching Award

The John J. Duffy Excellence in Teaching Award is a USC Palmetto College campus award given to recognize outstanding teaching. The current recipient is Dr. Eran Kilpatrick, an associate professor of biology at USC Salkehatchie.

USC Columbia hosted the Fourth Annual Association of Carolina Emerging Scholars Conference on Dec. 4, 2015.

The commercial production company Dust of the Ground, in conjunction with creative minds within USC Palmetto College and University Communications, earned a 2015 Telly Award for the USC Palmetto College commercial campaign at the 35th Annual Telly Awards.
