Student Orientation, Advisement and Registration (SOAR) is a vital part of the collegiate experience at USC Sumter. This program is designed to help you with the transition to college life and is required for all new, degree-seeking, students to USC Sumter.

Things to Know Before SOAR

  • The next SOAR is scheduled for December 14, 2017 for students entering in Spring 2018. The first Fall 2018 SOAR will be held May 16, 2018.

  • SOAR sessions are estimated to last a full day, plan to be with us for the full time.

  • Check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. in the Nettles Auditorium. The program starts promptly at 8:30 a.m and will last until 5:00 p.m.

  • If you have not yet been accepted to USC Sumter, your registration will be cancelled.

  • Students attending the earlier orientations will have the best course selection; do not wait until the last minute.

  • Lunch is provided.

  • Dress comfortably.

  • Parking is available next to the Nettles/Schwartz Buildings.
