The periodicals staff in the Department of University Publications is responsible for writing and producing USC Times, the bi-weekly newspaper for faculty and staff; and Carolinian magazine, published four times a year for members of the Carolina Alumni Association and friends of the University; and the content on numerous University Web sites.
USC Times
USC Times is published 20 times a year in printed form and distributed to the faculty and staff of the University of South Carolina by the Department of University Publications. The online version of USC Times is continually updated with the latest University news, events, and photos.
Each member of the periodicals staff is responsible for a USC beat that covers academic and administrative areas within the University. The editorial staff encourages submission of story ideas for both the print and electronic versions of USC Times. To submit a story idea to a Times writer, go to the USC Times Contact Us page for information about writers and the academic areas they cover.
Carolinian
Carolinian magazine is published four times a year for members of the Carolina Alumni Association, donors, and friends of the University of South Carolina. The print version of Carolinian features articles about the University, its people, research, and the latest class notes to keep alumni in touch with their classmates. The online version of Carolinian offers extra pictures and text not included in the print version a sneak peek at upcoming feature stories planned for the next print issue and even a contest every now and then featuring USC-related topics (and nice USC-related prizes!).
We welcome your comments on previously published articles in Carolinian and your input on future editions of the magazines print version. Get in touch through the Carolinian Contact Us page.
