Lola Mauer
Director of Annual Giving Programs
Lola Mauer attended Ball State University where she received a Bachelors degree
in English and a Masters degree in Historical Fiction. After graduating,
Mauer served as the Assistant Director of Annual Giving at her alma mater for
six years. Lola was responsible for the acclaimed success of Ball State
University’s call center where her student team raised over $1 million for the
school four years in a row.
In the spring of 2004 the Indiana native moved to the southeast where she began
work within the office of Annual Giving Programs at the University of South
Carolina. Under her leadership the Family Fund Campaign, USC’s faculty/staff
drive, brought in over $2.3 million in 2004-2005 and had a 4% increase in
participation. Lola is a seasoned Annual Giving conference presenter on
fundraising subjects including Parents’ campaigns, Senior Challenges,
faculty/staff campaigns and call centers. Last summer, Mauer co-chaired
the annual Ruffalo Cody conference, and this fall her article on call center
successful practices was featured in CASE’s Currents magazine.
Mauer spends time at the Little Bighorn Battlefield each June where she is a
historical interpreter for the National Park Service and was recently elected as
a board member of the battlefield’s largest affiliate organization. Lola
also devotes time as a youth advisor within her church and enjoys writing,
travel and Colts football.
