"If you steal from one author, it's plagiarism; if you steal from many, it's research."-- William Mizner, 1953
When these lessons were originally distributed via LISTSERV, TGIF lessons were distributed on Fridays to provide a respite from homework assignments. If you are studying these lessons in order, you might appreciate a break, too! The TGIF lessons are designed to showcase Internet resources related to specific disciplines, and to spark your interest in online searches.
In this lesson we will highlight resources in the Humanities and Fine Arts.
If you are not accessing these lessons via the WWW, you may encounter resources that require WWW, gopher, ftp, or telnet skills you haven't yet mastered. Don't panic! We will cover these tools in detail in following lessons. If you don't have the skills necessary to explore these resources at present, as we say in the south, just save them for seed! They will, no doubt, in the future provide you with many avenues for successful Internet explorations.
