Instructions
1. Go to Start ->
Run and type
ncpa.cpl and hit OK
2. Right-click Wireless Network
Connection, and then select
Properties. A window similar to the following will appear:
3. Select
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP),
and then click the Properties
button. A window similar to the following will appear:

Click the Obtain an IP address
automatically radio button.

Click the Obtain DNS server address
automatically radio button.
4. Click OK to close the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties
window.
5. Click on the Wireless Networks tab. A window similar to the
following will appear:
6. Select Change the order of preferred
networks. A window similar to the following will appear:
7. Click the Add… button. A window
similar to the following will appear:

Type "Public" into the Network
name (SSID): field.

Select Open
from the Network Authentication: drop-down menu.

Select Disabled
from the Data encryption: drop-down menu.

Click OK to save your changes.
8. Click the Advanced
button. A window similar to the following
will appear:

Select the Access point (infrastructure)
networks only radio button.
-
Un-Check
the Automatically connect to non-preferred
networks checkbox if it is checked.

Click the Close button to save
your changes.
9. A window similar to the following will appear:
Note:
In the Preferred
networks: box you should see the SSID that you entered in earlier. Move the SSID
up the list and Click on the OK or
Apply button.
