Committees

Program Committee

The Program Committee shall provide a forum to articulate and promote topics and activities that impact the status and well-being of black employees at the University of South Carolina. Furthermore, this Committee should provide a forum for the professional development of black faculty and staff.

Social Committee

The Social Committee shall propose and plan social functions/events that promote fellowship; the development of personal relationships; and opportunities for professional interactions, among black faculty and staff.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee shall undertake activities to recruit and retain membership in the BFSA. This committee shall contact new employees to introduce membership in the BFSA. This committee shall also enlist member attendance and participation in BFSA functions.

Publications Committee

The Publications Committee shall prepare a regular newsletter for dissemination to the membership; distribute information about the BFSA to members and general audiences; and contact media for BFSA event coverage.
