Housing Fees

Fall and Spring Housing Fees

Most rooms in University residence halls are designed for double occupancy; a few rooms accommodate three persons. Single occupancy is available (at an additional charge to the prescribed rental rate) in selected residence halls based on space availability. Housing application materials are mailed with each student’s University acceptance letter from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

The University provides voice, cable, and data line service to each room.

Housing contracts are issued for a full academic year. Room assignments, however, may be changed beginning with the official fall room change period. Yearly housing contracts may be cancelled only if a student does not enroll for the spring semester or graduates.

Initial application fee (nonrefundable; required of students applying for a room/apartment), $20

Initial room fee (down payment due in advance; $50 applicable to fall rent, $50 applicable to spring rent), $100

Summer Session Housing Fees

Summer housing locations and occupancy vary each year. Fees are based on prorated amounts of the academic year fees. Call 803-777-4283 for more information.

Family Housing Fees

Families are eligible for on-campus housing as long as one member of the family is enrolled full-time at the University. Assignments are made according to housing preference, date the application is received, and family size. To receive information about family housing, contact University Housing at 1215 Blossom Street, or call 803-777-4571.

Initial application fee (nonrefundable; required of students applying for a room/apartment), $20. A security deposit of $100 is required with the application fee--this refundable fee secures a place on the waiting list.
