USC Union

The Union campus, established in 1965, provides a diverse selection of academic offerings and community services. The academic program stresses both the two-year associate degree and the broader, senior university parallel studies. A variety of cultural, social, and recreational activities are provided for both the students and the community, on-campus or in conjunction with other USC campuses.

In addition, the campus offers special opportunities to the nontraditional learner--an evening program, continuing education, the Extended Graduate Campus Program, and courses for teacher recertification. Students are encouraged to utilize the resources of continuing education, both at the undergraduate level, and in such graduate programs as APOGEE (engineering) and the Professional M.B.A. (business). During fall 2001 the enrollment was 384.

In the fall of 1983, courses were begun by USC Union in the Laurens-Clinton area in a program designed to let local students complete their freshman year conveniently near home before commuting to Union or another campus. An office/classroom building is leased by the University and a local director is available.

Degree Programs Offered

Associate in Arts
Associate in Science

The Union campus also assists in the completion of a bachelor's degree by offering selected upper-division course work in conjunction with the Columbia campus.
