Streets have been closed on Sumter Street between Greene and College streets to stage responding fire equipment due to a report of smoke in the Currell Building located on the Horseshoe.
Columbia Fire Department has responded and the smoke appears to have come from a discarded tobacco product outside near an air intake vent.
There is NO fire in the building and students will be allowed back in the building shortly.
