| Sandra J. Altshuler, Ph.D., L.I.C.S.W., has served as a Principal Investigator for a variety of federal, state, and locally funded projects in the area of at-risk youth, child welfare, and people with disabilities. Dr. Altshuler is currently serving a dual role as a Research Associate at The Center for Child and Family Studies and as an Associate Professor at the College of Social Work at the University of South Carolina. Her research, teaching, and service all focus on supporting the health and well-being of children and families, particularly youth with disabilities. Dr. Altshuler has expertise in translational, community-based research design and evaluation, all of which involves both practitioners and clients as participants. She serves as a reviewer for a number of social work journals, and has published in a variety of leading journals, including Social Work, Children and Youth Services Review, the Journal of Social Work and Disabilities, and Child Welfare . |
