Brian McCréight
Storyteller
Brian McCréight, a.k.a., “the Lowcountry
Liar,” is a Storyteller who tells
anything from tall tales to short stories and whatever lies between.
Brian is also:
- Author of The Legend of the Lowcountry Liar and other tales
of a tall order (Pineapple Press, 2005).
- A Musician who plays a wide variety of drums & percussion
instruments with several bands in Charleston.
- A Licensed Tour Guide with The Original Charleston Walks,
the oldest, most versatile company in town.
- A Certified Librarian,
specializing in Children’s Services, who as Storyteller-in-residence,
produced theannual Piccolo Spoleto and the MOJA
Arts Festivals programs for the Charleston County Library.
- Holds
an A.A., B.A, MLIS, as well as “a degree of Pseudology” (real
BS).
Brian has lived in many cities and several countries growing
up in a Navy family, and can tell you all kinds of adventurous
stories from his experiences and family history. Brian recounts
all manner of folk tales, fables from Aesop to Brer Rabbit, myths
and legends of history, ghost stories galore, and adds his instruments
in the mix. |
