This 2011 “Convergence and Society” conference is the 10th annual conference in this series. We are celebrating this milestone with a subtheme that relates media convergence to organizational and environmental sustainability.

The goal of the conference is to solicit a wide range of papers that address convergent journalism, sustainability, and media evolution alone or in combination with each other as well as searching for theoretical and practical intersections among these dimensions.

The preliminary agenda includes research exploring a wide range of studies regarding convergent journalism teaching, practices, and consumption, as well as theoretical and practical issues related to both environmental and organizational sustainability.

The conference is scheduled October 26-28, 2011. If you have any questions about the conference, please contact conference co-chair Augie Grant: grantae2@mailbox.sc.edu.
