Mike is an award-winning photographer and two-time Carolina graduate: he has bachelor's degrees in sociology and photojournalism. The sociology degree came first, which led to a desk job, which led Mike to the realization that he wasn't cut out for a desk job.
He returned to Carolina for photojournalism. His first stint as a professional photographer was at The Sun News in Myrtle Beach. After two years there, he returned to the University, where he has taken photos of just about every campus event, building, faculty member, and student since 1985.
