Description

Whether you teach online or in the heart of campus, communicating with your students outside of class can be a challenge. In this session you'll find out how Adobe Connect can expand and improve the ways you connect with students, helping them to become more engaged and communicative. Adobe Connect opens up new lines of communication, from being able to conduct online meetings to one-on-one student communications. You can even use it to hold flexible office hours for online students. Best of all, you don't need to be a "techie" to make the most of this tool, which the University makes available to you for free.

About the Facilitator

Nancy K. Brown is an associate professor in the College of Social Work, the Director of the Graduate Certificate in Drug and Addiction Studies, the Coordinator for the Graduate Certificate in Military Social Work, the Interim Director for Distributed Learning, and is the recipient of the Award for Achievement and Excellence in Teaching. She has taught numerous online courses to students in South Carolina and Korea through live broadcast classes, synchronous Adobe Connect sessions, and asynchronously through Blackboard.
