Faculty Co-Instructor/Supervisor

Christy Friend, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Associate Director of First-Year English
Wednesday, November 12, 2008, 12:20 p.m. – 1:10 p.m.
Center For Teaching Excellence (Thomas Cooper Library, Level 5, Room 511)

The type of relationship you have with your faculty co-instructor or faculty supervisor can either set the stage for a remarkable learning and mentoring experience, or it can be the background against which you count down the final, torturous days of the semester. Research indicates that the nature of graduate student-faculty interaction is crucial to the student’s professional development, so time you invest in cultivating this relationship now can pay off down the road. Learn how you can make this relationship as positive and productive as possible through the use of communication and work flow strategies.
