Tom Syfert Welcome to USC Environmental
Health & Safety
and Risk Management

The University of South Carolina has a comprehensive Environmental Health and Safety and Risk Management program that affects all members of the University community. The purpose of our safety programs is to provide students and employees with a safe and healthy work environment. Our goals are to develop a safety consciousness among students, employees and others engaged in work for USC to reduce accidents, minimize potential liabilities and promote environmental stewardship.

Each member of the University community has the responsibility to work within the framework of our established safety programs and policies. Each team member is also responsible for carrying out their activities in a manner that will protect those involved, the rest of the University community, the general public, and the environment.

Our website contains many resources, tools and training opportunities so we hope you will find it helpful.  The EH&S team is committed to working with you to make a safer USC so please feel free to contact us if you have any environmental or safety related issues.
