Hazardous Weather Notification

The University of South Carolina's Columbia campus--including the School of Medicine--will open at 10 a.m. Monday, March 2, due to inclement weather and road conditions.
Classes starting at 10:10 a.m. and later will meet as regularly scheduled.
When weather affects the University of South Carolina Columbia
Campus operating schedule, the University normally follows directions issued
by the Governor for state agencies.
However, because faculty, staff and students travel to campus from across the state, the University administration may decide independent of any state decision that a delayed opening or closing is necessary.
Information about delayed openings
or closings will be posted on the Internet as soon as it is available.

During non-work hours, employees and students who miss media broadcasts
can call the USC Columbia Emergency Information Network at 803-777-5700
for a recorded message on delayed openings or closings.
