Unmuted
Training Program for Faculty & Staff

When something is unmuted, the sound (on its speaker or audio device) is restored, having been previously silenced. In Facebook terminology, to “mute” simply means you will no longer receive notifications from the thread of a messaging conversation. It does not mean, however, that messages are no longer being sent or that you have stopped receiving them; you are simply no longer notified when new messages are posted.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
