| Description: |
The Purchasing Workshop offers an overview of USC Purchasing policies and addresses issues related to ethics and the legal aspects of purchasing equipment materials and supplies for the University. During this half-day workshop participants will gain an understanding of both the State and University guidelines employees must follow when making purchases. Participants will learn how to:
use University Purchasing forms appropriately
route paperwork correctly to assure timely processing
locate and apply the mandatory procedures associated with SC Consolidated Procurement Code laws and regulations
make large expenditures that may require bidding or documentation for sole source
apply tax options accurately when purchasing research equipment
use University VISA Cards and assure every purchase is done right.
