This half-day workshop is an introductory class for beginners. It will provide insights into how to organize a successful meeting, special event or conference. If you are responsible for hosting a program on or off campus, register today to learn from a professional conference planner how to successfully plan, coordinate, promote and manage your next event. Topics include how to:
identify the ideal venue for your program
utilize the resources of convention and visitor bureaus
negotiate hotel accommodations and meeting space
process RSVP's and/or registration(s)
select the best food and beverage options
coordinate parking and transportation needs
procure audio-visual and other equipment , classroom materials, room decorations, etc.
